The first set of committee meetings for the month begins on Monday. As always is the busiest week of the month, and this month we are adjusting committee dates due to the New Year’s Holiday. All meetings are at the Government Center, 4th Floor. You will see the “Of Note” section and a link to the full summary on my webpage, which will be easier to read than the email and has all the active links!!
OF NOTE: TRANSPORTATION County is able to upgrade its GPS equipment with installation/subscription fees waived as part of agreement to host the equipment on top of the Hwy Dept. HEALTH Overview of positive impact from changes to the Nursing Home operations based on Blue Ribbon Panel recommendations, and relationship with OSF. Advocate referrals are on hold for 90 days as they are hiring a new provider.

MONDAY- 12/31
8:00 am TRANSPORTATION: Action Items: Requests approvals for Material & Equipment Letting; Engineering Services Agreement for 2 companies (1 to maintain retainer for miscellaneous surveying projects and 1 to provide analysis of county bridge load ratings for 65 bridges); Approval of ordinance to lower speed limit in Old Town Township; and Reference Station Host Agreement to upgrade GPS equipment with waivers on installation fee and monthly subscription fee for acting as host for equipment owner Topcon. Information: Motor Fuel Tax Presentation; Project summaries for Shaffer Bridge, Holders Bridge, and Towanda-Barnes Rd/Ireland Grove Intersection; Storm water education (3rd quarter); employment report and other business. 3:00 pm HEALTH Departmental matters: Cindy Wegner, director of the County Nursing Home, will present General Report and Blue Ribbon Panel Update. Michelle Welch and Jason Tabb will request approval of contract for counseling services between McLean County and Cathy Vogel; and present Healthcare Reports from Adult & Juvenile detention centers. Camille Rodriguez, director of Health Department, will present Activity Summary, Statistics Report and General Report. Bill Wasson, the County Administrator, will report on Recent Employment Activities, Psychiatric Services Referrals, and General Report.
WEDNESDAY- 1/2
3:00 pm JUSTICE Departmental matters: Jon Sandage, Sheriff, will request approval of 2019 Uniform and Equipment letting and of Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan which will be funded 75% by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. Molly Evans, director of Children’s Advocacy Center, will request approval of GATA IGA to extend current grant for 6 months which covers salary & benefit for 3 CASA staff; and revised amended budget to account for CASA VOCA grant. Monthly and General Reports will be given by Circuit Clerk, Public Defender, Sheriff, Children’s Advocacy Center, Coroner, State’s Attorney, and Court Services. Bill Wasson, the County Administrator, will report on Employment Activities and General Report.
4:30 pm FINANCE Monthly and General Reports from Animal Control, Clerk, and Treasurer. Becky McNeill, Treasurer, will also request approval of resolution to authorize execution of a Deed of Conveyance for unpaid tax bills. Bill Wasson, the County Administrator, will request approval of critical hiring (2 open Office Specialists positions in the health department), report on recent employment activity, and General Report.
THURSDAY- 1/3
3:30 pm LAND USE Action Items: Request approval for waiver to create one-lot subdivision in the Hudson Township. Information: Bill Wasson, the County Administrator, will update committee regarding positions filled and General Report.
4:45 pm PROPERTY Committee meeting is cancelled as no action items. There will be a standup meeting Jan 15 to address any issues.
