4:30 pm HEALTH Departmental matters: Juvenile Detention (Jason Tabb) monthly report; Health Dept (Jessica McKnight) monthly report- Delta Variant is 80% of local cases, on average there have been 47 new cases of COVID a day in August (July averaged 31 a day and June 7 a day), 1,057 county residents were overdue for their 2nd Dose of COVID vaccination and fewer than 50 appointments were made to get fully vaccinated; Nursing Home (Terri Edens) Facility Agreement with Bridges Community Services to make face to face/telehealth counseling services available to patients, and Agreement with Meridian Health Plan to pay for Medicaid patients, Hospice patients began moving in on Aug 16th; Adult Detention Medical (Suzanne Scott) MOU with UofI School of Medicine and Jail medical to improve care of individuals with HIV; and Interim County Administrator (Cassy Taylor) will request approval of budget adjustment for $1.5M of the American Rescue Plan Fund money to put toward additional nursing staff costs due to COVID needs.

In addition, Clerk will request approval of Elections FY22 Polling Place Accessibility Grant ($5,000), Animal Control will request amendment to McLean County Code to raise fees (see below):
and Treasurer will request Deed of Conveyance, surrender of Tax Sale Certificates and provide copies of the County’s monthly Financial Report.

4:45 pm PROPERTY Departmental matters: Parks and Rec (Mike Steffa) will present Monthly Report; Facilities Mgmt (Tim Daugherty) will present 3 contracts with Trane for AC Chillers at Juvenile Detention ($449,100), Health Dept ($479,500) and Nursing Home ($388,000); Approval of bid from Mid-Illinois Mechanical for water softener system at the Juvenile Detention Center ($23,600); Monthly Report; Cassy Taylor (Interim Administrator) will request approval of budget adjustment for $850,000 of the American Rescue Plan Fund money to put toward Chillers at Health Department and Nursing Home, replace linings of rain conductor pipes at the Courthouse, and cleaning of the sewage lagoon at COMLARA park as they all meet criteria for the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Program.
